Amnesty International Rears its Antisemitic Head Again with Ridiculous Accusations

Amnesty International has once again demonstrated its blatant bias against Israel, this time by attacking the European Union for hosting Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. The radical left-wing organization, which has a long history of unfairly singling out the Jewish state for condemnation, accused the EU of “brushing Israeli crimes under the carpet.” This inflammatory rhetoric is yet another example of how Amnesty applies double standards to Israel while ignoring or downplaying the atrocities committed by true human rights violators around the world.

The so-called “human rights” organization released a statement condemning the EU for welcoming Minister Katz, claiming that doing so “legitimizes” Israel’s actions. The hypocrisy is glaring—Amnesty has remained silent on the EU’s engagements with countries that commit genuine human rights abuses, yet when it comes to Israel, it suddenly finds its voice. This follows Amnesty’s disturbing pattern of treating Israel—the world’s only Jewish state—differently from every other nation, a stance that aligns with the working definition of antisemitism put forth by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).

Amnesty’s attacks on Israel have become routine. From falsely accusing the Jewish state of “apartheid” to downplaying terrorist threats against Israeli civilians, the organization has consistently sided with those who seek to delegitimize and demonize Israel. Their latest remarks are no different, as they portray Israel as the aggressor while conveniently ignoring the ongoing terrorist attacks and security threats the country faces.

At a time when Israel is fighting to protect its citizens from terror, Amnesty’s focus on slandering the Jewish state instead of addressing real human rights abuses worldwide is both telling and shameful. Once again, it is clear that Amnesty International’s agenda has little to do with justice and everything to do with its obsession with vilifying Israel.
