Trump to Hamas: “Free all hostages now or it is over for you”
President Donald Trump issued a stern ultimatum to the Hamas terrorist organization, demanding the immediate release of all hostages held in Gaza. Addressing Hamas directly, he stated, “Release all of the hostages now—not later—and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you.” He further warned, “Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!”
This forceful message came shortly after President Trump hosted eight Israeli hostages who had been freed from captivity in Gaza. During the meeting, he reassured them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to securing the release of all remaining hostages, emphasizing, “We’ll get them out.”
The United States has taken the unprecedented step of engaging in direct negotiations with Hamas, a group designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. since 1997. These discussions, led by U.S. envoy Adam Boehler in Doha, Qatar, aim to secure the release of American hostages and explore the possibility of extending the current ceasefire.
Despite these diplomatic efforts, Hamas continues to hold 59 hostages, including American citizens. The group’s recent rejection of a U.S. proposal to extend the truce has further strained the situation. The ongoing conflict, which escalated following Hamas’s attack in 2023, has resulted in significant casualties and widespread destruction in Gaza.
