Terror Attack in New Orleans: Driver Kills 10, Injures 30 Including 2 Israelis
A horrific act of violence struck New Orleans early this morning when a driver deliberately rammed his vehicle into crowds on the bustling Bourbon Street, tragically killing 10 people and injuring 30 others. The FBI has confirmed it is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. Terrorists around the world seem to be copying the terrorists in Eretz Yisrael, a similar attack happened in Germany recently as well.
The attack occurred in the French Quarter, a popular destination for partygoers for the Goyish New Year’s celebrations. At around 3:15 a.m., the terrorist drove a truck into the crowded area and later opened fire on police officers before being killed by law enforcement. Two officers sustained injuries but are in stable condition.
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Police Commissioner Anne Kirkpatrick both described the attack as intentional. Commissioner Kirkpatrick said, “This individual was determined to cause as much harm as possible.”
Witnesses described scenes of chaos and fear. One bystander recounted seeing lifeless bodies and others receiving emergency medical care as the area was evacuated. The city’s emergency services have transported the injured to local hospitals, and the FBI is leading the investigation.
