Hamas Threatens to Delay Hostage Release, Citing Baseless Claims Against Israel

The Hamas terror group announced plans to delay the next hostage-prisoner exchange originally scheduled for this coming Shabbos, claiming that Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement.

Hudhaifa Kahlout, a spokesman for Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades who goes by the name Abu Obeida, accused Israel of preventing displaced Gazans from returning to northern Gaza and of opening fire on them, as well as allegedly restricting humanitarian aid.

Despite Hamas’s history of spreading lies and engaging in deception, the terror group is now demanding what it calls “retroactive compensation” for these supposed infractions before continuing with hostage releases. Until their demands are met, Hamas threatens to withhold the release of the remaining captives, further prolonging the suffering of innocent Israelis.
