Family of Kidnapped Twins Receives Sign of Life; Shlomo Mansour Hy”d Murdered on October 7th
With great sorrow, it has been confirmed that Shlomo Mansour, 86, from Kibbutz Kissufim, who was abducted from his home during Hamas’s brutal attack on October 7, 2024, was murdered that same day, and his body was taken to Gaza. The announcement was made this morning (Tuesday) in Kibbutz Kissufim.
In a statement, the kibbutz said:
“With heavy hearts, we received the devastating news this morning of the murder in Hamas captivity of our dear friend, Shlomo Mansour, 86, who was kidnapped from his home in Kibbutz Kissufim during Hamas’s terror attack on October 7, 2024. This is one of the darkest days in our community’s history. Shlomo was much more than a member of the kibbutz—he was a father, grandfather, dear friend, and a pillar of our community. His warmth, humility, and kindness inspired us all. Our hearts are broken that we were unable to bring him home alive. The entire community mourns this terrible loss. We ask the media to respect the privacy of the family and community during this painful time.”
Lehavdil, the family of twin brothers Gali and Ziv Berman, who were abducted from Kfar Aza on Simchas Torah, have received a sign of life from them.
According to reports from released hostages, the brothers are alive but are not being held together. Their condition is poor, and their lives remain at risk.
Their aunt, Machbit Meir, spoke this morning in an interview with Reshet Bet:
“There is a sigh of relief, but also great fear. We received a sign of life from the hostages released in the latest deal. The two brothers are alive but are not together. Their situation is dire, and they remain in grave danger.”
The families are calling on the public to continue davening for the safety of all the hostages and to work toward their swift and safe return.
