Mother of Kidnapped Soldier Edan Alexander Hope Trump Can Bring Him Home Renewed Efforts for Release

Mrs. Yael Alexander, mother of 21-year-old American-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander, emphasized the urgency of securing the release of her son and other captives.

Edan Alexander, a member of the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, has been held captive for over 508 days. During this period, his family has refrained from labeling the anticipated agreement for his release as “phase two.” Mrs. Alexander clarified, “We don’t see it as a phase. We see it as the way to bring our son home. It doesn’t matter what you call it. It simply matters that there is an agreement to bring the remaining hostages home as soon as possible.”

She further expressed gratitude for the leadership facilitating these efforts, stating, “Time is not on the hostages’ side. That is why we are grateful for the leadership of President Trump.” Mrs. Alexander noted that from the outset, President Trump has demonstrated a clear understanding of the complexities involved in securing the hostages’ release. “His leadership has truly changed the situation,” she remarked.

Reflecting on the prolonged ordeal, Mrs. Alexander shared, “We are closer to bringing them home than we have been at any point in the last 508 days. 508 days of darkness and uncertainty is too long. It’s time to end it.”

The Alexander family’s unwavering faith and resilience have been a source of inspiration within the community. Their steadfast commitment to their son’s return underscores the profound bond and responsibility felt towards every member of Am Yisrael.
